The team

We believe the people you work with are what make a job amazing. In the AI & data team, you’ll work alongside Koen, Stefan, Willem and Tom (AI Engineers), as well as an awesome software engineering team. Next to that, you’ll be closely working with Joep (CPO) and Job (CTO).

The job

As an AI Engineer, you combine your data science knowledge & experience with the latest advancements in AI to build a mind-blowing product experience for our customers. The job is a combination of analysis, experimentation and engineering. You translate business requirements into working solutions along the full spectrum, from initial experimentation to implementation in production.

Key responsibilities:

• Experiment, build and iterate at the speed of light to make sure our Neople grow every day
• Select, finetune, and implement AI models to execute specific tasks
• Manage data lifecycle: collect, process, and maintain quality and integrity of data for training, testing and analysis
• Continuously evaluate and improve retrieval pipelines to ensure Neople always have the right information available
• Stay updated with AI advancements by researching the very latest technologies, and being able to quickly evaluate and apply them

The requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role (AI Engineer or data scientist)
• Solid technical background: skilled in Python, SQL and conversational AI/NLP methods & tools
• You have a strong intuition, built by experience, allowing you to spot opportunities and experiment quickly
• You know when to build simple (when good enough), and when to build advanced (when needed) solutions
• You’re constantly looking for opportunities to accelerate or automate your own work
• You’re a curious self-starter who can deal with a lot of freedom, and are happy to help out colleagues whenever needed

Nice to haves:

• Start-up and/or SaaS experience
• Experience with data warehouses & data engineering pipelines
• Experience with LLMs and RAG pipelines
• Experience with NLP or LLMs in production
